Challenge
The client needed a website that is easy to update on their own, without contacting a developer every time the schedule changes or a news item comes out.
For a site like this, that is harder than it sounds:
- the event schedule is regular but has exceptions: holidays, time changes, individual dates;
- audio and video recordings need to be published with a convenient player;
- the site has several communities and areas of activity, each needing its own page;
- news is often prepared in advance and has to go live on a specific day;
- several people work on the site, so separate accounts with invitations are needed.
Website builders offer basic pages but have no schedule with exceptions, no profile sections and no community management. The team also wanted to see how visitors use the site without complex third-party tools. And all of this had to be clear to people without technical training who run the site every day and should not have to deal with code.
What we did
We built the website and admin panel on Next.js 16, React 19, Tailwind CSS v4 and Supabase, deployed on Vercel. Between June and August 2026 the project reached 325 commits, 27 screens and 33 APIs.
Public site
- about page;
- news;
- event schedule;
- media library with a built-in player;
- community pages;
- gallery.
Admin panel
- news with an editor and scheduled publishing;
- page management;
- schedule with exceptions for holidays and special days;
- media library, communities and gallery;
- profile sections;
- users with invitations;
- site settings;
- built-in analytics: sessions and events;
- map.
We designed the admin panel around the client's specific tasks, so every section matches what actually needs updating. The person running the site does not have to deal with unnecessary settings.
Results
The client received a website and a full admin panel where the team manages news, the schedule, the media library, communities and the gallery on its own. A news item can be prepared in advance and scheduled for the right day, and a holiday schedule change is added as an exception without rewriting the whole schedule.
What this delivers:
- content is updated without a developer;
- several people work in their own accounts, and new ones are added by invitation;
- audio and video recordings are available with a player right on the site;
- built-in analytics shows sessions and events without third-party services.
We do not quote traffic figures, because the goal of the project is a convenient tool for the team running the site, not an advertising campaign.
What makes the project different
Most sites of this kind are built on website builders or templates, where the schedule is just text and media are links to third-party platforms. Here the schedule is structured with exceptions, the media library has its own player, and profiles and communities have their own sections in the admin panel.
At 27 screens and 33 APIs, the project is comparable in scope to business systems, even though it is used by people without technical training. That is why we focused on keeping the admin panel simple.
