What is ASO
ASO (App Store Optimization) is SEO for mobile apps. Most installs start with a search inside the App Store or Google Play, so the number of installs depends directly on which searches your app shows up for and how convincing its listing page is.
What the work includes
- Market and competitor analysis. Which apps rank for your keywords, what their listings look like, and what users say in their reviews.
- Keywords. We research keywords for the App Store and Google Play separately, since each store's algorithm weighs different fields.
- Metadata. Title, subtitle (App Store), short and full description (Google Play), keyword field.
- Listing visuals. An icon, screenshots, and a preview video that explain your app's value in a few seconds.
- Ratings and reviews. The right moment to prompt for a rating inside the app, and replies to reviews.
- Localization. Adapting metadata and screenshots for different languages and markets.
- Testing and analytics. A/B tests in Google Play and Product Page Optimization in the App Store, tracking impressions, listing-to-install conversion, and retention.
ASO, SEO, and GEO together
Users search for apps not only in the stores but also on Google and in ChatGPT ("best app for..."). That's why we combine ASO with an app page on your website, SoftwareApplication markup, and GEO, so your app gets recommended outside the stores too.
Who it's for
- startups before launch or after a slow start;
- apps whose organic installs have stopped growing;
- companies entering new markets and languages.
